Mulled Wine history
The word "mulled" simply means heated and spiced.
Many liquids can be mulled - mead, cider, and of course wine. Mulled wine is a
traditional favourite in cooler locations, today mulling goes well with various
beverages no matter where you are.
In medieval times these wines were thought to be
very healthy, and considered one of the better aphrodisiacs.
These heated drinks are reputed to have kept people
healthy through the cold winters in the middle ages.
Moving
forward to the 1500s, cookbooks already listed many methods
of mulling. It became a favorite in Victorian England right up to
today where it is a staple in many house-holds, particularly when entertaining guests.
Earthbound Products NZ have taken this age old
concept and developed it further to meet the demands of today's busy
lifestyle.
All our recipes contain Earthbound packs consisting of 100%

There are different styles from every part of the world -

allow.
